This hardscaping project was completed in Oakleaf Plantation, Jacksonville. As you can see from the first pictures, we started with a large unfinished backyard area. We excavated to prepare for the pavers and re-routed the rain run-off from the house to prevent the site from turning into a maintenance nightmare during storms and rainy seasons. We then installed the landscaping with drip irrigation and beautiful pavers on the patio and pathway.
This project was a total revamp of the landscape, hardscape and lawn sprinkler system. We added a paver drive way, connected a paver front porch and a paver back deck with a paver sidewalk that crossed over a dry river bed in the back yard. We highlighted the landscape in the back yard with clump bamboo and added many blooming shrubs along the path. The lawn sprinkler system was total drip irrigation which prevented anything from getting wet except the landscape. We constructed a custom trellis and decorative fence for a bit of privacy. This property was transformed into a beautiful oasis.
The traditional sprinkler system was responsible for minor cases of wood rot and staining the exterior of the home, sidewalks and driveway. The system was revamped to control all the over spray on the sidewalk and driveway. We also added drip line in all landscape areas around the home to eliminate any overspray and prevent any staining or wood rot. Some grass areas were also converted to subsurface drip to eliminate staining. Several large flower pots on the front porch were watered with drip line. On the back patio we used drip line to water several herb gardens neatly without spraying the deck. The project turned out great and used much less water.
After this house was completely remodeled it was time to be re-landscaped. Nolan Plumbing And Irrigation designed and installed a new irrigation system and drainage system to make this house a home.
At the Camping World job site we installed a artesian well for our water source. This enabled the owner to utilize ground water to water all the landscape without the cost of using city water which saved them about 4,900.00 dollars per year. They also utilized this ground water to wash motor homes and clean up the building and property as we installed hose bibs in various locations. We maximized the use of ground water to lower the owners utility cost and hopefully increase their profitability.
